Ooh, look at me update my journal earlier than 3 months later. =D

So a really shitty thing happened the other day to a friend of mine. His roommate stole the rent money he’d been giving him for the past two weeks, stole a good amount of his favorite CDs, and then completely dipped out of the apartment while my friend was at work… only to have an eviction notice posted on the door the next day. Fortunately said friend wasn’t at all tied into the lease so the money thing wasn’t his problem… but damn. I can’t believe that his roommate would’ve actually done such a thing. It just blows my mind to see how horrible people can be, not to mention completely cowardly. When we went to the apartment and we figured out what happened I just broke down and cried for about an hour because I was so worried/sorry for my friend and utterly disgusted with how two faced and shitty people can be. His roommate was a nice guy, and I thought he was totally cool. It’s not like there was fighting or disagreements or anything going on… he just up and decided to screw him over. I guess you can’t really trust anybody.

Wow. I suck! I’ve honestly been meaning to write I swear… I’ll be surprised if anyone reads this anymore. Probably better that way. =D I’ve just been ridiculously busy as usual. As soon as school started up and I recovered from wisdom teeth death my typical busy schedule filled up fast as ever.

School has been very good this year so far. I like all my classes (well as much as I can possibly like them) and I’m doing really well this year. It looks like I might even be doing better than last year. I ended up getting a B+ on the midterm for the only class that I was really worried about doing poorly in so I’m really happy about that. Haven’t taken any other midterms yet, but that was the only one I was stressing over. Music Ed/Bass stuff is going great. I got my own upright bass over the summer and I love it to death. I’m in orchestra now and it’s a lot of fun, but pretty hard considering I just started. Nothin’ like taking on Beethoven’s 8th Symphony for your first orchestral piece. But I really enjoy it.. becuase I’m a huge nerd. (:

While school keeps me busy, the band keeps me a million times busier but things are going great. We had our CD release show in September and 216 people came out. It was amazing! I never thought we’d be able to almost pack the Ottobar. Besides that we’ve been playing a lot of shows on the weekend, especially out of state ones. We really want to get our name out and try to get rid of the 2000 CDs we pressed before we record again next fall. We’ve also gotten the chance to play some really cool shows, including one last weekend at the Black Cat with Rainer Maria and Denali. Another tour is in the works for January, and this time we’ll be traveling with our friends Second Saturday.

So overall everything is pretty good lately. I really don’t have much to complain about (although I’m sure I’ll find something soon enough hehe). I’m dating a nice guy, school isn’t too stressful, the band is going great… Yay. (:
