i don’t think we’re in kansas anymore

Does anybody have recurring dreams? I do.

Not so much the same dream over and over, but the same topic. I dream about tornadoes a lot. I think I have a tornado phobia.. I’ll have to look that one up for the official name haha. I’m kind of afriad of thunderstorms… but I think I’m mainly afriad of thunderstorms because I’m afraid that a tornado will come. I’ve never even seen a real tornado. I’m such a baby. =D

Maybe on a deeper level the dreams are one of those “I don’t feel in control” things… I don’t know. Somebody make me feel not-so-crazy and tell me about your recurring dreams. (:

P.S. - I’m not crazy… =D

    damn, i was going to look it up! flavin. i have recurring dreams about feeling out of control as well. usually, they’re school related. or i dream that i’m trying to run, but i can’t no matter how hard i try. yep. you’re not crazy :) *bite*

    you’re not crazy - or maybe we both are. i have exactly what you have. i’m terribly afraid of bad thunderstorms not in and of themselves, but because i’m afraid that a tornado will come and kill me. i’ve never seen a tornado or even been in one. i dream about them about once every 2 weeks. my fear is getting worse because sometimes i think about it before i fall asleep and i get very anxious even though nothing is happening. i fear the spring because i don’t want there to be bad storms and tornadoes. i think i’m going to get counseling because it’s really starting to affect my life and become a fully developed phobia. maybe you should talk to someone too. good luck. you’re not alone.

    Phew! At least I’m not alone in having recurring tornado dreams. I’ve never seen a tornado yet i’ve been having dreams about them every few weeks to few months for about 8 yrs. I thought i was a freak. I tried to explain it to others but they just think i’m overreacting.

    I’ve read up about tornado dreams and they are supposed to represent emotions or change in ur immediate environment that are overwhelming. I do agree with that because over the past 2 days i’ve had to deal with some extremely difficult and life changing decisions and on both nights i had similar tornado dreams where 3 tornados appeared together!

    Well they are my thoughts anyway. I’m glad its not just me that has these dreams!! :)

    Well this must be the crazy tornado people page. I have been having tornado dreams since 1992. They always seem to signify major changes in my life or major change to something close to me. They are alway vivid dreams and they occur before major changes happen. So, I have had so many, well enough to know that they are a friendly warning of changes coming. So, do not fear tornadoes in your dreams just let go and let it take you at its will after all it is just a dream. It won’t physically harm you. I do think about tornadoes during big storms but just like the others who have posted I have never seen one or personally experienced one.
