favorite songs of 2003

I’ve never been good at making top whatever lists because I’m so indecisive, but I’m going to do an easy one. Here’s my top favorite songs of 2003 in alphabetical order. My only rule is that only one song per band is allowed. I’ll probably keep adding to it, so feel free to comment and add your favorite songs.

Avec - Doubled Over
Brand New - Sic Transit Gloria… Glory Fades
The Darkness - Get Your Hands Off My Woman
Fall Out Boy - Chicago is So Two Years Ago
HIM - Right Here In My Arms
The Jealous Sound - The Fold Out
Junior Senior - Move Your Feet
Motion City Soundtrack - The Future Freaks Me Out
Outkast - Hey Ya! (you gotta love that the chorus of a song is simply “hey ya”)
The Postal Service - Nothing Better
Rainer Maria - Long Knives
Reggie & The Full Effect - Happy V-day
The Sounds - Mine for Life

friendster vs. myspace

So the question these days seems to be whether to use Friendster or MySpace…

Why use either of them, you might ask? Why jump on the internet scenester bandwagon? The answer is pretty simple for me:
1) It’s fun to see a list of your friends. It makes you feel good about yourself when you can say, “Hey! Those people are my friends! Super!”
2) It’s better than filling out those obnoxious answer-five-million-questions-about-yourself emails.
3) And finally, I don’t really have anything much better to do online besides check email and of course update my journal.. which I obviously rarely do.

So back to my first question… friendster or myspace… I originally joined Friendster because people wouldn’t leave me alone or stop inviting me. It’s cute… a little slow, but it’s like a drug. You’ll wait for it whether you like it or not.

Then MySpace came along. Once again everybody and their mom kept inviting me, so I decided to check it out. It has a journal thing added into it’s features which is cool, but useless for me since I already have one.

Honestly, the only real difference I’ve found between the two is that MySpace has a plethora of naked slutty people. No joke. Some people’s pictures are borderline softcore porn.

So if you want to be friends with naked people, MySpace is the place for you. As for me I prefer Friendster because I don’t feel like trying to build my stupid list of friends up again. (:

… I like the word plethora. =D

here’s a tip for ya: put down the fork! FACE!!

http://www.usatoday.com/life/television/news/2003-11-18-family-guy_x.htm

Yes folks, it’s true. There is a possibility for at least one good show to be on TV. Move over reality bullcrap, because that show is Family Guy! If they put it back on the air, they could have up to 35 new episodes!! That’s what I’m talkin’ about. I heart Family Guy. (:

no woman no cry

(referring to chuckd’s comment in last entry)

I think the teacher thing does have something to do with my frustrations. He’s Russian so it’s sometimes really hard to understand exactly what he wants from me. However, I’ve cried in front of the nicest/least demanding flute teacher I’ve ever had last year when I was taking lessons to get ready for my audition into the music program. I guess it just really comes down to stress and confidence. I’m an emotional girl and once I start crying I can’t stop it. (: I have juries coming up so I’m going to just try to be as prepared and confident as possible. I guess that’s the best thing I can really do.
