Me and my band had the awesome opportunity to play the Three Rivers Festival in Columbia, SC last weekend. The most killer part was that REO Speedwagon headlined the night we played so we got to see them for free. I was totally excited about seeing them, but after watching them play I was blown away. I mean there was always that chance for them to be rocked up washed up rockstars, but they completely ruled. I was totally jealous due to the fact that they had two 8×10 ampeg cabinets and four ampeg heads. And they were TUBE… four TUBE heads… why do you even need four?! haha.. they also had a baby grand piano and a real electric organ. Totally badass. I guess for being a band for 36 or so years they deserve it. Not to mention they totally annihilated all the songs. The lead guitarist was the soloing rock out pinch master! And they completely killed all fo the harmonies… not a single chord off. Ugh. I want to be a rockstar. (;
