guitar players where are you…

Things have been a little rough lately with the band because our guitar player quit. It’s been a pretty big blow to us, but I think we’re still carrying ourselves pretty well. Most people don’t know, unless they’ve seen us with the fill in. We’re working our hardest to find a replacement asap.

We were left with 20 some shows booked including a tour, although our recently departed guitarist has been helping us out with our last few shows. We were lucky enough to be able to get a fill in immediately for the tour but he stopped playing with us right afterwards. We won’t be booking anymore shows until we get a replacement, which is a shame because we’re constantly getting offers and having to turn them down.

On a more positive note, we won’t be touring until next spring so we have plenty of time to find somebody. We’re going to go into the studio in the next few months to record our second album. We can do that without a guitar player luckily. It looks like we’re possibly going to do our album in Nashville becuase we can get a killer deal, and Wyatt is nice enough to have offered to play the guitar parts for us. We owe him one since me and Katie are singing on his album. (; I can’t wait to get into the studio, it’s going to be a blast!

Needless to say, I was surprised and saddened when I learned about your departing guitarist. Also needless to say, I kicked myself quite a bit for only managing to catch the last two songs of the last DC show you played. I wish you guys the best of luck. I moved to DC just over a year ago, and due to timing and good fortune, you’ve been a happy and integral detail in the story of my life here. I first saw you at the Black Cat, and tried to catch you whenever I could since. I look forward with great anticipation to the album, and I wish you the best in finding a replacement. Never have I wanted so badly to know how to play guitar ;) Take care.
