student teaching
Today was my second day of student teaching between two elementary schools in the area. So far it’s been pretty boring, but it’s still early. I’ve already observed the same teacher I’m interning with so it’s nothing new at the moment. Just a lot of sitting around and answering the same questions over and over again. I’ll be picking up a group on Friday that I will stay with for a while, so that will be fun. I think I’m going to choose the trombone group to start with because there are only three of them and they’re well behaved, but they seem to need some motivation so there is still a challenge.
Other than student teaching full time and being on a grown up schedule of 8:30-4:00 and 7:45-3:30 depending on the day (not including driving time), I have a night class on Tuesdays. It seems very manageable as long as I can get used to the getting up early thing. Nothing can be as bad as last semester.
We got out early tonight because of snow! (:
