july update
It’s been a while but my life has taken a turn for the less stressful. And might I say, it’s an amazing feeling!
I left off my last post in the middle of student teaching. Although my elementary experience was a little rocky, I had an incredible time interning at the middle school. Since graduating in May, I went to the beach, went on a short tour, and have been working a ton at the restaurant. I also volunteered as an orchestra sectional coach for the county’s band camp. That was really fun and I made a lot of contacts. As a result I most likely have a long term substitute teaching job lined up in December/January.
I’m moving home at the end of the month to save some money, going on vacation to Nashville/mountains in Georgia with Wyatt’s family, and booking a tour for the end of August through mid-September. I hope to get some private students and will substitute teach until I can find another job (my current restaurant will be too far).
Needless to say I’ve continued to be very busy, but it’s a different kind of busy. I have a lot more control over how I manage my time and feel a lot less pressure than when I was in school.
I’ve also been knitting up a storm so I will be posting a bunch of new pictures shortly.
